Sierra Overlook Animal Rescue (SOAR) provides a safe and loving sanctuary for animals in need—those who have been abused, abandoned, or can no longer survive in the wild. Through compassionate care, lifelong support, and a commitment to rehabilitation, we help animals heal and thrive. Our mission is to create a deeper connection between people, animals, and the environment through education, advocacy, and community-driven conservation.

Animal Rescue
At SOAR, our rescue efforts focus on responding to animals in crisis—whether abandoned, injured, neglected, or displaced by environmental threats. We provide emergency care, medical treatment, and safe transport to our facility, where each animal receives individualized support and a chance to heal. Our goal is to rehabilitate animals for release or adoption whenever possible, while offering permanent sanctuary to those who cannot return to the wild or domestic life.

Life-Long Sanctuary
SOAR’s life-long sanctuary offers a safe, peaceful haven for animals who cannot be released or rehomed due to injury, trauma, or special needs. In our care, these animals live out their lives with dignity in a natural, enriching environment tailored to their physical and emotional well-being. Each resident becomes part of our extended family, receiving daily attention, medical care, and the compassion they deserve.

Education & Outreach
SOAR’s education and outreach programs aim to inspire compassion, environmental awareness, and responsible stewardship through hands-on learning and community engagement.
